Like some of you, I was most fortunate this Christmas. Due to some
mis-communication between my daughter and my darling person, I received two
copies of TAGS 4th season. However, the good folks at _est _uy said I could
trade the one that was bought there for season 5 when it's out. My other set
was bought at Weavers, so that's the one I'm keeping.
BTW, Jim Clark enclosed some information about an upcoming Mayberry cruise
coming up in October. My darling person pointed out that it's right around my
birthday and it might make a gooooood present. It's a bit pricey for the
caliber of birthday presidents to which I'm acoustomed, but pretty reasonable
for a cruise. Anyone else here tempted by it? I like to read when I travel,
and I've got the magazines to swing it.

Oh, another TAGS-related gift I got for Chrismas was a framed photo set of many
of the cast members put together by our own Gary W. Gary, that's the one I was
asking you about recently. I guess the hinting to my darling person paid off.
Much thanks, Gary.

Hey To Goobers,
Well our Christmas 2005 has come and gone......Shazam!
I did have a Mayberry Moment on Monday which is when most of our family were
together.
When everyone is together at our house it is pretty noisy. It is more or
less, wall-to-wall people and as time goes on I seem to get rattled more
easily
than before. At one point, two of our daughters-in-law and our daughter were
working at the kitchen sink and I was behind them in the middle of the room
kinda' walking in circles and remarked that I had come in there for something
but couldn't think of what it was. Without skipping a beat, one of our
daughters-in-law spoke up and asked, "Well Mom, do you need a bucket?"
Everyone in the room got a chuckle out of it.
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas with good times 'round friends and
family!
Have A Mayberry Day!

In my local paper at the end of the year they write a wish list for the
local politicians, leaders etc. I read it because my father is usually
mentioned as he is a local politician. They are quite funny sometimes. Here
is one I found concerning a new Police Chief in the bordering town of
Dracut. I got a kick out of it.
