I don't think Mr. Weaver knows yet. He'll let everybody know as soon as he
gets a price for himself.

I thought Wednesday nights presentation of the TAGs Top 10 was
outstanding. Our
chapter was so proud that Manhunt was named as a favorite since we
derive our name
from that episode A Dollar and a Quarter Club. The show was very well
done & TV
Land did us TAGS fans proud. Thank You TV Land. I must say after not
being
able to get the digest for such a long time, its GREAT to be
back!......Dave Millard,

After looking at the DVD cover art. I knew I had seen that pic before and sure
enough I had a copy of it
on my computer and it is the same way. Either it has been flopped for years or
thats the way the pic was
supposed to be. I figure that this was from a TV guide cover if I'm not
mistaken.

>>> Recently, [Don Knotts has] been performing in regional theater with
fellow comic Tim
Conway. He's also done voices for animated Disney films, and is now doing
the
voice of Turkey Mayor in the "Chicken Little" movie.

Associated Press
>>>

Looks like AP goofed; Don has performed many cartoon voices throughout his
career, but as far as I know he has never provided a voice for a Disney
animated film.

Now, for the DVR alert (for those of you still living in the 20th century,
make that VCR alert):

This Sunday at noon (Central time), Cartoon Network will air "Guess Who's
Knott Coming to Dinner," one of the two episodes Don did of "The New
Scooby-Doo Movies." In this cartoon, he plays a caricature of Sherlock
Holmes. The other episode he did from this series was "The Spooky Fog of
Juneberry," in which he basically played Barney Fife, except he was called
Don, not Barney.

Hi Gang,
Well there's been some tremendous accolades sent into the digest from
those that went to this summers big event in New Castle. One word sums up
my feelings...DITTO!!!! I totally agree with all the previous comments. As
soon as I got home things got real busy at work, and I didn't have much time
to get on here to express my feelings. Like I said last year, words really
can't describe each and everyone that was involved from the planning
committee to the stars, and of course the fans. Allan, you asked me
backstage about wondering what it would look like out front...it was
fantastic!!.....It took days to get over the soreness from laughing so hard,
lol...I never thought that I would be seeing, in addition to the mayberry
stars and OUTSTANDING tribute artists, Pink Floyd or the Soggy Bottom Boys,
lol....One final note to my friend Curt Bell...another JOB WELL DONE!!!
Thanks so much for all the phone conversations prior to the event. Hope a
little extra publicity helped the cause. We certainly look forward to the
tradition continuing for many years to come.

Does anyone know where any of the props are now ,i know that many of the stars
have some of them but what about other things maybe fans have bought from
estate sells and such.
I know i saw at a show once some of "aunt bee's " nitting stuff for sale but i
felt kinda weird about buying them. i don't know why but i just did.

Does anyone reproduce any "clone" props for enjoyment, i have thought about
this some but haven't decided what to make, I know lots of people recreate the
squad cars but what about other things.
Any ideas, don't be shy.

Disney just released a batch of its live-action features from the '60s and
'70s. About half are presented with their original theatrical ratio of 1.66 or
1.85 to 1... unfortunately, Disney went with visually edited 'Pan & Scan' 1.33
to 1 versions for the others, even though all were filmed in widescreen format.

A few of the new DVDs feature TAGS stars:
- NO DEPOSIT NO RETURN ** (1976) starring Don Knotts
- HOT LEAD AND COLD FEET (1978 ) starring Don Knotts
- THE CAT FROM OUTER SPACE ** (1978 ) starring Ken Berry, with support from
Jesse White and Ronnie Schell

** Pan & Scan version

I was over at the Foley's the other day and there was this fellow in there
getting some bologna for lunch. Seems they're doing a good bit of work on
the phone lines outside of town. So he's standing there in his silver hat
and stuff chatting away with Foley. Says his name is McBeevee, but he had
sort of an accent that I couldn't place. It sounded sorta Scottish, but
McBeevee isn't a Scottish name I've heard before. Seemed to be a personable
guy and even mentioned that he knew Opie and that Andy had him over for
dinner one evening.

Well, the funny part was that, just about then time Barney walks in and sees
McBeevee. He stops, gets the most extraordinary look on his face and backs
out of the door like he didn't want to make any noise.

What do you think that was all about?

Actually I think the top ten list that the featured on the Top Ten show was
actually a list that the stars chose as there favorites. Am I correct?
Because I remember TV Land stating that the #1 chosen by the online viewers
poll was the "Pickle Story". Either way I certainly have enjoyed an entire
week of TAGS, havent you?

Well.I still think Divorce Mountain Style should have made the cut..........but
since I love 'em all,I won't make a big moulage or let the muscles in my neck
get all tense. But it sure made me flex my jaw a time or two.Opie The Birdman is
one of the sweetest and dearest episodes and I do love to see it.

While watching Barney and the Choir last night on TVLand, somebody told me
that Andy Griffith's first wife was a choir member. If so, can anybody
point her out for me? (Dark Hair? Front Row? Top Row?)

Thanks,

I noticed the pickle jar inconsistency also. Barney was giving out jars that
looked like canning jars instead of store jars. It's been a fun week
watching all these TAGS shows. I would like to mention a show that is one of
my very
favorites that did not make the list. "A Case of The Punch in The Nose". A
lot of Floyd in that one. Mr. Foley, Goober, Opie, Barney, Otis, and I think
Gilly Walker got punched too. So much fun to watch.
