Saw Jay Novello (Thomas A. Moody, et al) and Parley Baer on an episode of Perry
Mason whilst on vacation last week. I'm not used to watching daytime TV, so I
was very excited to get some noticer training. Mr. Novello was wearing the
same hat and sly moustache as he did in TAGS. Was this a trademark for him in
all his TV appearances??

Those of you who are planning to go to Mayberry Days are Sooo Lucky to be able
to go there. It is just too far away fo this west coast resident to attend &
I'm just green with envy, except of course, I do wish you & yours a wonderful
time when you are there. How great that Andy & his wiffe will be able to
attend. & what a thrill You will have to attend the dedication of the new
statue. Don't forget pictures ,pictures pictures, so.the rest of can see what
we missed when you post them.

>>did we ever see either Mr. Schwamp or Tom Jacobs in an episode that took
place outside of Mayberry? Dan<<

Well Dan, does the Cave count as outside Mayberry??? There were a number of
Extra regulars including Joe Hamilton at the Cave Rescue.

How about Mr. Frisby's place out in the country?? It seems like Tom Jacobs
may have been one of the Hard hats.
I'm pretty sure Mr. Schwamp never got outside of Mayberry. (or too far from
the Root Beer)

Actually there aren't too many episodes period that take place outside
Mayberry are there???

Andy and Barney in the Big City.
Andy visits Barney in Raleigh.
The Taylor's go to Hollywood.
Andy takes Gomer to Camp Henderson.
There are several where a portion takes place outside the town.
Howard's New Life
The Barbershop quartet
Howard the Comedian
Big Brother
The Auto Show etc.

Just startin to think with that bucket on.

Hello everyone,

I found something that has just added great pleasure to my Mayberry
collection. "Our State" magazine featured Andy Griffith on the cover of
their magazine on Oct 2003 (I didn't know this). I emailed the magazine and
they have a few copies left. They are $6 a copy. I just got mine in the mail
and it is a beautiful cover. If anyone is interested in purchasing one the
info is below:

We have a large cage in the living room for our dog Lucky. We leave
the door open on it so he can get to his food and water. Normally he
is out of the cage, but every now and then we put him in it if he's
getting on the furniture or if we've got company.

A couple weeks ago, we got rid of the old couch cushion he had
(outside the cage) and got two smaller ones. I put one inside and
left one out for him to lay on.

Anyhow, for some reason, he's starting going into the cage on his own
to lay down and sleep. My wife fussed at him the other day because
she saw that he'd been on the furniture and he walked into the cage
and laid down.....

.....now if we could only figure out how to get him to close and lock
it...<g>
