>First, why isn't Andy sitting at the head of the table?

>From the camera angle it looks like the table is square. Which side would
you consider is the "end" or "head"? Aunt Bee sitting closest to the kitchen
is normal for cooks. Andy sitting between Opie and Aunt Bee is quite natural
to me. If Andy sat where Opie usually sits then Opie couldn't have made an
easy mad dash to his room the times he was sent upstairs before the end of
the meal.

Harriet, my chickens don't care about which end of the table is the head,
they don't want any part of it..........

I will be attending Mayberry Days this year and I would like to meet new folks
who share the love for the show. I have my own band of TAGS fans in Franklin
but I wish to meet people from other places. Fate has me on this trip as I
missed Andy at the highway dedication because a certain family member told me I
"couldn't afford to go" but this is my second chance and I will not miss it.

Have a Mayberry Days and God Bless!!!!!

I guess you heard about the fella that mixed the cleaning fluid right in
with the gravy. That way, when he got a spot on his tie (and his clothes),
it took care of itself.

P.S. Mixin' them chemicals with food could be mighty dangerous!

To all the tags fans looking for these you need to go to the sites on e-bay
for televisiion memorabilia and search for hawthorne buildings then narrow
it to Mayberry. There are about 15 for sale right now. I have these sights
in my saved search and anytime something new is listed they send me an
e-mail. W.V. BIGGEST FAN SUSAN.

While watching "Cousin Virgil" last night, I noticed Rance Howard as the bus
driver and it got me to thinking ("go ahead take a think under there"). What
actor do you suppose played the most roles on TAGS. I think it had to
Have been Allen Melvin? What does everyone else think?

Marie,

I'm glad you mentioned that. My husband and I were talking about that too.
My husband said "hey why are Andy's clothes clean??!!" I suggested maybe he
changed but he said why would he have put a uniform back on. I said maybe
he was going out to check the door knobs. He said maybe it's just kind of
like Barney's hair being messed up.

Hello Fellow Digest Readers

Well The Olympic games are just around the corner. There are always these
little bitty countries that we've never heard of, showing up with very small
teams. So lets have a little fun. Imagine that Mayberry is one of those
little countries. Since our favorite town is timeless, the people aren't
old, they are still in their prime. Who would be on the Mayberry Olympic
team??

I recently viewed a few minutes of an old film in which Aunt Bee was
watching a bullfight! She wasn't hiding her eyes either! It starred
Debbie Reynolds and even had Mr. Wheeler, the travelling gardener and
all-around unhandy man. Also Glenn Ford, but it wasn't that movie Barney
liked so much.

Hi my Mayberry friends,
In the episode when Helen is writing her
book..They told Helen that nobody from Mayberry was known or famous ..I cant
remember exactly how they said it ......but what about Jim Lyndsey.... Can
anyone think of anybody else that "Made It" out of Mayberry? Was Helen the first
one with a chance to make it big? What about Tina Andrews?? I am sure there
are others.

                                 Thanks,
