I was just wondering how everyone knows the song lyrics for Fishin' Hole
since they don't sing it on the show? Did Andy Griffith sing this on a
record or something?

Yes. I have 2 CD's that have Andy Griffith singing "The Fishin' Hole".
One is called "Andy Griffith: American Originals". The other is called
"Songs, Themes, and Laughs from The Andy Griffith Show". I think Weaver's
has them both. If not, I am sure Mr. Weaver has some CD in stock that
includes Andy singing "The Fishin' Hole".

I was turning the channel past and old show called "The Wild Wild West" the
other night and heard a voice that sounded somewhat familiar???? I turned back
to the show and there was Robert Conrad talking to a "sailor" about some sort
of treasure. I looked closer and who do you suppose it was but "Willy
Jack/???". I guess after Andy gave him that ticket for his squeaky brakes he
decided to leave Mayberry and sail the high seas??? No brakes to worry about
on a ship, just an anchor.

About 18 months ago I found a website that had The TAGS Theme for cell
phones. That site has gone bye-bye. Well, when I got a new cell phone I lost
my Andy Griffith tone and all my others.

Well, I have found another site and it's not as simple to use, but they have
several tone under "Andy Griffith".

You have to pre-purchase "credits" and follow directions very well to obtain
the tones.

I have read up on this outfit and they have very good reviews and
recommendations from other users.

You're on your own to try it, but I did get a free one to work. I haven't
tried to buy one of the TAGS one yet, but I probably will give 'er a go.

Read the FAQ section first and carefully.

Hi my Mayberry friends,
Does anyone know if Andy got any aftermath from
the storms?I know he lives in Manteo ...and that is sure on the water.

I bought mine at Radio Shack...it has a dial though - the court house phone
did not have a dial. I paid $45.00 in 1989 and it works too, it's not just
for show.

I don't know about the supply, but I recently learn something about the
work of art. (I should say at this point, it's a bit morbid.) A couple
weeks ago, I was on a vacation/business trip in Florida. Part of the time
was spent in St. Petersberg (BTW, our prayers have been with y'all re:
Charley). During the time there, I accompanied my darling person (who is a
visual/graphics artist by training) to the Salvador Dali museum. The
Angelus was mentioned by the very knowledgeable tour guide. Apparently the
picture had some influence on Dali, but something didn't sit right with
him. He said it wasn't normal for a couple to pray over crops (not sure
that I agree, but OK). Dali said he thought they were praying over a lost
child. Apparently the painting was x-rayed and, sure enough, it showed the
outline of a small coffin. Perhaps that was what the original painting
looked like, but was changed for some reason later.

For what it's worth.

re: Hurricane Charley

Seems the giraffes weren't too afraid of getting struck by lightning. Now, if
they were dogs and they wanted to stay outside, I could understand. But
Giraffes could get struck by lightning!!! (Out there in a hurricane running
around looking after number one!!!)

A lot of shows used to have their stars doing commercials
for the sponsors in character. I remember Jed & Granny doing
a Winston commercial on the Beverly Hillbillies. When The
Flintstones first came on,it was in prime time. Believe it
or not,I can remember Fred Flintstone doing a cigarette ad!

I just won two tickets to Ronnie Milsap, two tickets to Ricky Skaggs and
dinner at Roadhouse Grill for answering a call-in contest on the radio.
The question was, "What actor from the Andy Griffith show was also in
the first Benjie movie?" It pays to be a TAGS fan!

I decided that since I don't receive that publication of unusual facts, I'd
check up on giraffes through the Internet. Through MAN Enact I read that
giraffe herds are "less structured than those of most other mammals. A typical
herd of giraffes contains up to ten members, and animals can leave or join it
at any time." Also, "Giraffe herds do not have a leader, and individual
giraffes show no particular preferences for others in the herd." Barney was
right, they just don't seem to bond with each other.

I think I'll look up dingo dogs next. All I know about them is that they are
"indigenous to Australia". Fascinating!
