The answer they were going for, I'm sure, was Frances Bavier (she played the

While listening to one of our local radio stations yesterday I suddenly
heard the whistling of the Mayberry Theme Song. I turned up the volume and
the commercial was for an insurance company that offered "friendly, old
fashioned, small town service" and all the while the beautiful whistling was
in the background. I almost got up and called them for an appointment.
Maybe I would have gotten Howad as the insurance man and I could have made a
claim on my windshield that got broken this weekend.

Funny I should see this today. Last night I watched "Chinatown", and
in the first 10 minutes saw Jack Nicholson (played "Marvin Jenkins" in
episode: "Aunt Bee, the Juror" and "Mr. Garland" in episode: "Opie
Finds a Baby"), Roy Roberts (played "J. Howard Jackson" in episode:

Hi Gang. The actor that appeared in Benji that was in TAGS that hasn't been
mentioned was our own bookie barber, Herb Vigran. Herb grew up here in
Connersville Indiana, and I had the pleasure to interview him the year that
Benji came out. The movie company contacted me and said "you have a local boy
thats in our movie"-lol He has appeared in countless character roles. Saw
Herb over the weekend on the bench as judge Brooker on Gunsmoke.
"do you know that I have to sneak down to the gas station just to take a pinch
of snuff?"

About the words for The Fishing Hole...........I have a CD set titled "What it
