I noticed several people said they were unable to make it to Mayberry Days this
year. Would you all like to join me in a group pout? I'm suffering from the
green eyed monster, but not the kind that bit Gomer.

By the way, I saw our Floyd on I Love Lucy last night.

I wanted to give an update about the Mayberry Event that was held in Gleenville
WV this past fridy night.

Ist of all it rained but that did not effect us because they moved it inside to
the Gleenville State College Gym. Those in attendance were, Rodney Dillard,
Doug Dillard, Maggie Mancuso, and Leroy Mack. Also tribute stars were David,
Bob, Tim, Alma, myself and another Ernest T. Ivan kept some of the other stars
away and we for sure missed them.

We had a wonderful time and many thanks to Buddy Griffith for putting on this
wonderful event.

See you in Mt Airy Thursday thru Sunday!!!!!!!

I have really been enjoying the digest lately and really appreciate the heads
up about the highway closings. Yep, as my Mama used to say "Lord willing", I
plan to be at Mayberry Days this year. I am getting so excited about the fact
that I will actually get to see our Andy.

Out local station here in Cincinnati has been driving me crazy by putting an
infomercial before TAGS instead of running two TAGS in a row like they had been
for a long time. Dave and I decided enough of that, so we turned the channel
and found Matlock! Which of course is a better subustitute for TAGS than an
informercial. Someone was talking to Matlock about kleptomaniac's and Andy
started laughing and said: "You know I used to know a guy that pronounced that
word: "kleptomenerack". Dave and I really got a hoot out of this. We haven't
seen much of Matlock because it is on the same time as TAGS but I have heard
that he has made references to TAGS before.

See you in Mayberry!!

"Clara didn't live right next door to the Taylors"

In the episode "Barney's Replacement" where he quits as a deputy and tries to
sell vacuum cleaners, there is a scene where he is trying to sell one to Clara.
Barney is on her front porch. We never see more of the house than that, but
just from the front porch, I can tell that it is the house next to Andy's
house. It is the same house Mrs. Wiley lived in. Also living in that house
have been the preacher in the episode "Opie's Newspaper", Mayor Stoner in the
episode "The Bed Jacket", and the family with the two girls that move in during
the episode "Opie and Mike" (a color episode). Can anyone think of anyone else
who has lived in that house?

On the same subject, here is a trivia question. Name all of the people who
have lived in the house with the railings on the front porch that are in the
shape of X's.
