 Enjoy!Danny O'Brien Elizabethtown, KY<<<<

Danny, Thank You Thank You Thank You,
This little clip you provided us a link to, has motivated me to crawl out
from under my porch where I was countin spiders and playing sad songs on my
juice harp. I took a pan of beans and weenies and thought I would stay
under there until Mayberry days was over. (on a count-a I was missin' it)
Something gave me the motivation to crawl out and check the Digest. And
there among other jewels was just the "miracle salve" I needed...that video
clip.... Our buddy Tim Pettigrew (Goober), the Darlin's and Charlene,
Thelma Lou in person, and of course Andy himself...and the statue What A
treat!!! Would have loved to seen the rest, but this little bit has The
Untrained Voice Warmin' up again..... 0r at least caterwaulin''
Me They Me They Me Theyyyyyy I O UUUU I OO UUU I oooO UUUUU
There's Annnnnge..... On the Computer Monitorrrr Singin' the Mayberry High
song!!!!
Toot toot toosie goodbye... Now I don't have to Cry

The Untrained Voice
That was just the Elixir I needed to put a bounce in my step and hope in my
human heart.
(thanks Kim, I'm am indeed "a sight")

Hi everybody,

I just got in from Mayberry Days and I have to agree that it was BIG !!!! and
I mean BIG!!!! I got goose bumps on my arms, and tears in my eyes, as we all
sang the "Mayberry Union High" song right along with our Andy! He looked
great, and it was so wonderful to get to see him. I'll tell you I had to pinch
myself to really believe that me, Anita Carpenter was really seeing our Andy.
I really got a kick out of watching Andy after the statue dedication and
pictures. while he and his lovely wife Cindy sat on stage for a few minutes.
The Darlings serenaded him and all of us with a couple of tunes from TAGS!!!!
Let me tell you it was magical. I will truly count this weekend as one of the
highlights of my life. I was afraid as the time got closer for Mayberry Days,
that I would not be able to go, but I was blessed with the chance to go and I
really enjoyed it so much. I got to put names with faces when some of us from
here at the WBMUTBB had our picture made after the trivia
contest. Hi Mark, Hi Ann, Hi Jeff !!! The only bad part about the weekend
is that it had to end. Mt. Airy is a lovely town, and all the folks treated us
very kindly, just like in Mayberry.

I want to say a special thank you to the couple from Illinois who sat in front
of me at the statue dedication, please forgive me for forgetting your names.
They took some pictures of Andy for me because I am a short person and he had a
better view than I did. I am so excited and I can't wait to get them printed
up. I know you will be blessed for helping out one of us short people!! I
sure wished I was as tall as you Jim!!!

Better go for now, lots to do.

Anita Carpenter
One of Cincinnati's Biggest TAGS Fans !!!

I still can't believe I saw our Andy!!!!!!
