>>>Hey everybody. I was just wondering if the nice person who posted how
to put the Andy Griffith tunes on your computer when you hit certain
keys or commands could repost it.<<<
Kevin/Horatio, I was one of those that originally posted about that. If you
prefer to use your desktop icons, double-click on "My Computer," then
double-click on "Control Panel." Or, use the "Start" menu, go to "Settings"
and then click on "Control Panel." Once you get to the "Control Panel,"
double-click on "Sounds." Scroll through the list and find an action whose
corresponding sound you want to change and click on it. In the box below,
you'll see the sound you currently have selected. Click on the "Browse" button
to locate the file with the new sound you want to use. (For example, I have
all my downloaded TAGS WAV files in a folder labeled "Wave Files" inside my "My
Documents" folder, so I go there.) Whenever you find the desired WAV file,
click on it, then click "Okay." Lastly, click on "Okay" in the "Sounds
Properties" box, and your new sound will be set.
That may be more detail than you needed, but I hope the information is helpful!

Hugh Marlow (Mr. Maxwell in Mayberry on Record) showed up as the start of an
old black and white movie I saw the other day, I believe the name was Earth
vs. The Flying Saucers, typical 50's scifi.

I have mentioned this before, but the Green Acres episode was on again this
week where Oliver was trying to determine what to plant and was going to
plant wheat, but there was this committee that came out to the farm to tell
him he couldn't plant it because his allotment was not big enough. The
committee consisted of Jesse White (Fred Boone in Andy, The Marriage
Counselor) and Sam Edwards (Lester Scoby in The Eviction). They had an
extended scene and are just hysterical. I get the giggles everytime I watch
it. They are so good together, some parts of the dialog appear to be ad
libed.
If you can catch this episode, make sure you watch these 2 fine character
actors together. They're extry good.

Eddie,
I'm not Allan, but I have been to the path at Franklin Canyon several
times. Here are the directions.
From Sunset Blvd. in Beverly Hills:
- Turn north onto Beverly Drive.
- Continue north until you get to a traffic light where North Beverly
Drive splits off to the left and Coldwater Canyon Drive continues
straight.
- Turn left on North Beverly Drive and go to Franklin Canyon Dr. on the
right.
- Turn right on Franklin Canyon Dr. and stay on it until you reach the
Upper Franklin Canyon Reservoir. This area is called the William O.
Douglas Outdoor Classroom.
- When you see the reservoir - if it were a clock - the TAGS path is at
about 11:00. Follow the road around the right side of the reservoir,
past an old water facility. About 50 yds. past the facility, there's a
small parking area with steps going down to THE path.
There's no water in that end of the lake. In fact, the last time I was
there, the lake on that end looked more like a forest.
One more thing, find a copy of "The Official Andy Griffith Show
Scrapbook" by Lee Pfeiffer. On the first page inside the cover, is a
picture of Andy, Opie and the film crew shooting the opening. This
picture was taken from the small parking area looking down at the path.
Good luck and I hope you find it.

TAGS friends,
Thanks to all of you who have already gone over and
started reading the serialization of my novel, "Murder

If you haven't started reading it, yet, you can find

Hey y'all!
I'm a lifelong Mayberry fan from Huntsville, Alabama living in Stockholm,
Sweden now.
I would like to correspond with other Andyheads and especially those in other
parts of Europe.
I'd appreciate it!

Another TAGS connection related to Charlie Ruggles ("Aunt Bee the
Swinger")... from 1949 - 1952 he starred in his own television sitcom, THE
RUGGLES. His
daughter Sharon was played by TAGS' own Margaret Kerry, aka Bess Muggins in
"Christmas Story" and Helen Scoby in "Andy Forecloses."
OT-TAGS, Charlie's credits also include a fond Baby-Boomer favorite... the
voice of Aesop in the "Aesop and Son" cartoons of Jay Ward's ROCKY AND
BULLWINKLE.
