"Oblong Man Marries Normal Woman." Just as long as he didn't write anything
about her in the cement, several years before they planned their nuptials of
course.

Howdy all and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I got my set at Best Buy, just in case of problems. I had a little
problem with Gentleman Dan (disc 3) but it was jusy a few little glitches,
nothing big, thank goodness. I love the clarity of these DVD's. I can't wait
for the next season.

You know, I never locked on to that but having heard you say that I know
what you mean and will watch for it next time I see that ep.

Thanksgiving was approaching,
everyone was getting ready,
Barney Fife had his pistol loaded,
just to keep the crowd all steady.
It was a week before Thanksgiving,
the air was cold outisde,
the crowd slowly gathered in the courthouse,
they all had turkey on their minds.
First came Howard, then Otis,
then Goober, then Floyd,
Emmett & Sam Jones,
then Brisco & the boys.
There was Clara & Aunt Bee
& little Opie too,
Helen & Millie & sweet
Thelma Lou.
The time then came & out the
door they went, to get there turkeys
for this holiday event.
When they all got to Foleys,
everyone came to a stop,
who would be first to enter
this quaint little shop?
Howard stepped forward,
then one by one they took turns,
still with turkey on their minds,
hungry for some good bird.
Thanksgiving finally came
& from all over town,
the smell of turkey was in the air,
& joy & laughter did abound.
So what happened that day at Foleys?
I'm sure you've guessed it by now,
he sold turkey after turkey,
to everyone in that town.
And when the meal was over,
some collective words were heard,
it was, " Shoot that turkey was good,
how we love to eat that bird."
So know you've heard the story,
of The Great Mayberry Turkey Shoot,
it happens every year,
life in this little town is just hoot.
Happy Thanksgiving to one & all,
from Andy & his friends,
we all love this TV show,
may the reruns never end.

Bee in New Concord,
YOu can get some DVD players for surprisingly cheap nowadays, and they're worth
it if you like behind the scenes goodies. I know the TAGS DVD's don't have
those, but I can't imagine you'll get a more complete version of the eps or a
clearer pic of them anywhere.

The rented car that Madelyn Grayson drove to visit Floyd was a Lincoln. It had
suicide doors on the rear that would make it a ' 63 or ' 64.

>>>Also, I don't have a DVD player.... Are they very expensive and would it
be worth my time to consider getting one just so I could watch
some uncut TAGS shows?
Do it! Perfectly good DVD players are now available for under $40 at
Wal*Mart and Best Buy. Apex is a good no-frills brand.
