One of the things Rev. Crosley said to watch out for was
a-pathy!

with are remarkable! They all must be" Mayberrians"! I would like to peruse the
Mayberry Emporium, but I don't know it's web-site address...Can anyone help
me? Thank You!

Subject: California scenes

As I was watching "Opie Steps Up In Class" Saturday night, I thought I
noticed a couple of palm trees as Aunt Bee and Opie were driving up to
the Hollander house. Since I don't think there are any palms in North
Carolina, this would clearly be a production error. The same error is
consistently made on the Comedy Channel's Reno 911 since there are no
palm trees in Reno.

My question is, what other TAGS scenes would reveal that the scene was
not in North Carolina?

-Bob

Re: The Real Mayberry

I certainly agree that visiting The Mayberry Trading post off
the Blue Ridge Parkway is really a treat. It was a spot I made sure
to frequent when I was writing my book, "Memories of Mayberry"
(Weavers)

It's even more special when you know that Andy Griffith's
mother,Geneva Nunn Griffith, grew up in that same small hamlet known
as "Mayberry." In fact, when Andy visited his grandparents there, it
was to that same store that he went to pick up their mail. No wonder
the vibes are good!

I was watching my favorite lawyer show tonight. In a tough situation with
their backs to the wall, one of the firms lawyers declared, "We got to fight
fire with fire". He must have learned from Bernard P Fife, Attorney at Law.

In the episode of TAGS called 'Opie's Newspaper', episode 153, Mrs. Foster
was played by Irene Tedrow.
Mrs. Foster was the chicken-a-la-king lady, tasted like wall-paper paste.
I think I spotted her playing Miss. Harper or Hooper on an old Dragnet, her
character was a real-estate realtor.
The copyright on Dragnet was 1953.
Jack Webb played Joe Friday, he was very young in this episode.
Has anyone ever seen this old Dragnet show?
The episode was about a man hurting two little girls.

Margaret
Mrs. Foster: You know all the girls are on diets.
