Subject: Prayers for Jean Carson's Son

Jean Carson (Fun Girl) called me this afternoon to tell me her son,
Tracy Alexander owns a small business which has been hit hard by 911.

Tracy had to drop his health insurance to keep his business afloat.
Then a few days ago he was up on the roof of his warehouse when he fell
off the building. Providentially, he landed on his side in such a way that
his back and neck were protected but his shoulder and hip were badly hurt.
The warehouse is out in an agricultural area with nobody around so he had
to crawl up a hill to get to a phone to call the Fire Department.

Jean said she thought he had five pins on his right shoulder among
other injuries. He is now in a wheelchair and going through rehab. Jean
asked that I pass this on to my prayer group, and I got her permission to
share some of this with WBMUTBB.

Please consider sending prayer, cards and encouragement to Jean's son
during this difficult time.

His address is:
Tracy Alexander
59105 Lincoln St.
Thermal, CA 92274.

Thanks to Kathryn for sending in that information about Jean's son. One
other note....his e-mail address is:

His complany has a web site but there's not much there.

If you were at Mayberry in the Midwest last year, Tracey was the "man" with
Jean "Hello Doll" Carson throughout the event. It was his first trip to a
Mayberry event and he was blown away by the love shown to his mom.

I think the Sadam/Barney pic can be sent to individual email addresses
without breaking rule #2.

I no longer have it but could probably get it. I sent it to a friend who is
a retired international correspondent. I asked if he thought Barney would
catch Osamma. He wrote back "Barney would probably think he was a mis-guided
hippie and send him off to San Francisco".

Fellow members of WBMUTBB: Before the ceremony in October when the TVLand
statue of Andy Griffith and Ron Howard was dedicated in Raleigh, N.C., I
contacted the New York sculptors concerning bronze and/or artist's resin
miniatures for general sale. The initial pitch to TVLand was for 8-inch
miniatures, with a possible release near Father's Day in June. I e-mailed
the sculptor today but have not yet heard back as to an updates. When I
hear, I will immediately post a response.

Susan I know how you feel about the lack of BW episodes.
Don't know why it is but I guess TVland thinks starting at the
beginning means #73 not #1. !! Anyway I was on the other night
and they edited my alias. Didn't even mention Ralph Henderson.
Its sad. I would sure like to see some unedited versions on TV in BW
but, alas we must rely on our VHS and DVDs. Gee the eps. seem to get
   shorter and shorter.
.
I mean I'm already in the big house isn't that punishment
  enough,
Until we meet again Maude ( aka Ralph Henderson)

A whole season of TAGS could fit on 2 cd's, and they only want to put 12
episodes on 2 CD's? Strange.

As I'm making my way through season one of Green Acres (32 episodes on 2
cd's), I couldn't help but think what it would be like to hear a
conversation between Hank Kimball and Floyd Lawson. Maybe somethng like
this:

Floyd: Say Hank, that's a nice hat you got there. Did you get it in
Mt. Pilot?

Hank: Yeah, Mt. Pilot. Actually it wasn't in Mt. Pilot. It was just
outside Mt. Pilot. Or was it Siler City? No, it was Mt. Pilot.
I've never been to Siler City.

Floyd: Did you know that Calvin Coolidge wore a hat just like that?

Hank: Martha Coolidge's kid? I thought he couldn't wear hats because
of that skin condition on his head.

Floyd: No, the president

Hank: Martha's kid was president? I remember he went through the third
grade three times.

Floyd: It just goes to show that the best clothes are in Mt. Pilot.

Hank: Mt. Pilot?

Floyd: Yeah, where you bought the hat.

Hank: What hat?

The dilalogs between these two unique characters is endless.

To: TAGS <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I saw a Matlock once where Andy, excuse me, Ben was interrogating someone on
the witness stand and somehow he worked in something like the following: "Back
where I come from we used to have a saying, 'If I had seen you coming I know
what I'd do. I'd have raised both arms and wove at you.'" I believe that was
once said by Ernest T.
Also, which episode features the leg of lamb where Otis says, "All some women
understand is a leg of lamb." Could someone correct the above quote and put it
in context? I think it is from the episode where Ellie runs for town council.
Carol from snow and ice infested Western NY (and getting mighty bitter about it
too!)

Kind behind the eyes.

I've been noticing lately that everybody in Mayberry has such straight,
white teeth. Has there ever been anything pertaining to dentists, tooth aches
and
the such on the show?
I agree with Susan, we need more black and white shows. There IS a
difference.
