I watched "Destry Rides Again" today on AMC. It was made in 1939 and had
Marlene Dietrich. There are obvious similarities between Andy Taylor and
Destry. I wonder if there is a direct correlation between the two or if
it's coincidence.

>>>In reality, if you really wanted to take a walk to Wally's Filling
Station on the Forty Acres Lot, it would be very good exercise.

I wrestled with reality for thirty-five years, doctor, and I'm happy to
state I finally won out over it.

Watched the episode this week that has Rafe beating out Barney for a singing
part. Too bad he never put on an entire show of his selections.
But then it wouldn't be the Andy Griffith Show.

Funny coincidence...
I was flipping channels this morning and caught a "Fantasy Island" episode,
with ol' Barn front and center! He was playing a movie casting director who
was all the rage. Lovely ladies were practically throwing themselves at
him!

If that isn9t funny enough, I just read John Sasser9s posting about 3...in
Currituck county, just east of the mainland is a town called Knott's
Island!2 Makes you think.

Subject: Actors who played more than one role on TAGS
Date: Thu, 5 Feb 2004 09:38:17 -0500

Here are a couple more names to add to our growing list of actors who played
more than one role on TAGS...

Charles Thompson played night-watchman Asa in several episodes and then
re-appeared as Dr. Roberts, giving Dolly the horse a check-up.

Mr. Thompson also played Asa the hotel clerk - wherefore art thou Jason and
John Masters - on "A Black Day for Mayberry" as well as Asa the doctor on
"Barney's Physical." I guess that's another example of the actor of the
man.

Here's a question for all you trained noticers, or better yet, trained
lip-readers out there. Last night our local CBS affiliate aired the
"Barney's Bloodhound" episode. In the scene where Barney spies Andy outside
a cabin window I have no trouble deciphering Barney - "What!?! What!?!
Whattayawant me to do!?!" - however, I have no idea what Andy is saying in
response. Any one out there have an inkling?

Chris in Chattanooga, who right now is sick as a dog but havin' the time of
my life!

The Cartoon Network has the following announcement to make:

Don Knotts, Alec Baldwin, and Jessica Biehl take on their most challenging
roles--playing second fiddle to a guy with a huge ego and even bigger hair,
Johnny Bravo, in "Johnny Bravo Goes to Hollywood." The 30-minute special
premieres on Cartoon Network on Friday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT).
