Hah! I saw that two nights ago and was going to make the comment. Opie
was asking if they were rich or poor and I wanted to write down the
reply by Andy for future reference. Maybe Allan has it on file to post
exactly but it was something like (after Opie asked if they were Rich
or Poor)

Well, we've got Aunt Bee, best food you ever could put in your mouth,
we've got Barney for a friend, so I guess we could say we are rich....."

Great episode - and with Barney inventing the low carb diet - an instant
classic,

Or maybe in case Goober wanted to take a car apart?

" I bet Barney would get an award for the oldest motorcycle".

I did a little research a few years ago on Barns rig and found out is
was very old.
Best I can remember it was 1918-1927 Harley model JD. They weren't
very dependable either.

"Compensation for reruns"

Residual pay for TV shows didn't come about till the late 70's (to the
best of my recollection).
The actors back then where basically employees of a particular studio,
which is why you see them in shows
and movies together. It was more of a another day at work for them
(although they had the best jobs in the world, and they knew it)
