All of a sudden Dish Network cut out several channels, including a few we
watch, like Comedy Central and VH1, and others we don't, like BET, MTV and
several of the Nicks. TVLand was not affected. Is this nationwide or what?
Supposedly Viacom, the owner of those channels, said they would raise rates.
Did this affect DirectTV or cable? As long as they don't mess with sports
stations, History/Discovery/A&E, or TVLand, I'll survive. Why can't they just
delete the networks (around news time), PBS, CNN, WE, WB, O, Lifetime, and all
the foreign language stations? I have those blocked out anyway. If they take
away TVLand, I can't be held accountable for my actions. That vein on my neck
would rise up again.....

Re: Barney's talents:

He was also an accomplished librarian(sp?) from his days in the army, a pretty
good fisherman, could make good chili, was a crack shot with a pistol, was
allegedly great at history, could sing, was allegedly a true pioneer, a good
dancer, an excellent judo student, was "a scream," a great witness in court,
could throw a football (rifle fife), could shoot a slingshot, jump rope and
chant, the list goes on and on.....

Hey, Jennifer!

March 10 is my birthday, too! My husband is going with Flora to Mt
Pilot to buy me a discount
mink coat. Last year he couldn't decide between the salt and pepper
shakers and the baseball hat.

I just checked out www.tvshowsondvd.com and there is a section where you can
vote for TV shows that you want on DVD. One must register at the site to vote
but maybe there is hope to have complete seasons on DVD soon. Hey, it worked
for Gilligan's Island so maybe TAGS has a chance.

He can be seen as Col. Kirkwood on Mr. Ed, in the mornings on TV Land. Also,
my email address was supposed to change, but, we couldn't get it arranged,
so, I will still be here, until I say otherwise. The way my luck is, if I
hadn't have said anything, it would have happened.

Don't forget that he was talented in hypnotism (tried to get info about the
stills from Otis)and also a talent for the supernatural since he tried to
contact the Count.

I love that rule! You have an endorser here. Might not be a bad idea,
either, to watch the credits of the preceding TV Land show, as announcer Tim
Conway
usually has a neat piece of trivia about the upcoming TAGS episode.

Aha! I knew there was some connection with TAGS. My subconscious just
wouldn't let me sort it out. I shoulda asked ol' Barn for help. "You just
leave it to me, Aunt Bee. Big Barn will take care of it."

I watched the movie "Pollyanna", starring Hayley Mills, this past weekend.
I don't remember ever seeing the movie before.
When Pollyanna first arrives at her Aunt's house two of the servants were
on TAGS.
Reta Shaw played Mrs. Tillie Lagerlof, cook. On TAGS she played Big Maude
and Eleanora Poultice.
Mary Grace Canfield played Angelica, housekeeper. On TAGS she played
Mary Grace Gossage.
Also Jon Lormer played a man who was scalded at the orphanage, uncredited.
On TAGS he played Fletch Dilbeck, Tate Fletcher and Parnell Rigsby.
The director of the movie David Swift, was the executive producer on the
T.V. show "Mr. Peepers".
Mr. Swift said that Reta Shaw and Mary Grace Canfield were on "Mr.
Peepers".
I recommend the movie "Pollyanna", 1960 version.
In the movie you can see Miss. Canfield counting as she is dancing at the
bazaar.

Margaret

talking about Gomer.
Mary Grace: 'What does he look like?'
Helen: "His tall."
Thelma Lou: " Dark."
Helen and Thelma Lou: "And a door prize."

Hi all,

I had a Mayberry moment this weekend. I was traveling to the Lake of the
Ozarks and my daughter called me on my cell. As I was chatting to her I
passed a policeman in the medium checking for speeders. I remarked to my
daughter that I was glad I wasn't speeding and she said it was probably the
same Barney cop that pulled her over once before.
Of course, that reminded me of TAGS so I told her that I had recently
joined TAGRWC.
Then she started laughing and asked if I HAD gotten pulled over would I
have whipped out my TAGRWC ID with hopes of a more lenient sentence. I
told her we didn't have id cards but I got a chuckle out of it too.

I also got a kick out of Barney's talents....#7 Draw his gun so fast it
can't be photographed.
