Subject: Rain in Mayberry
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It was a rainy day in Mayberry on the day when the gold shipment came through
town. Also Mayberry got a heavy rain when the gypsies lifted their curse.
Also it was raining the night Andy and Barney went to Sam Becker's farm.

I also thought of a few more practical jokes Andy played on Barn.
1. Kept Barney in the cell when he locked himself in.
2. Called the diner for a trouble check.
3. Read a fake label on Barney's aftershave and said "Caution, user should
wear gloves."
4. Talked in Barney's two way radio while he was installing it. Made Barney
really jump.
5. Kept telling Barney he couldn't break a board with his karate chop until
Barney hit it and
    hurt his hand.

Hey everybody...

I haven't posted in SO long!!! But, I've enjoyed YOUR postings!

I wanted to tell Bart how much I enjoyed the pictures that he's made available
to us. Those are so great! I'm looking forward to getting some to frame and
display in my den!

I also want to ask this... sorry for doing it here, but I don't have the email
address... Mary Alice Tyler... I need to have a confirmation of your having
received that money order, if you don't mind. I'm cleaning out my desk, and I
didn't want to throw away my receipt until I know FOR SURE that you have it.
Thanks!

Okay... enough of that... I bought the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd seasons of The Dick
Van Dyke Show on DVD. You know... the seasons collection... They are so well
done! Makes me want all of the Andy's on DVD even more! Any word on that?

Well... good to "talk" to y'all. Mary Alice, PLEASE let me know something...
and, Jenny Flockerzie, I hope you and your new husband are doing great and
settling well into married life!

Okay... gotta go! My tires are chalked and Barney's comin'!

Jenny

Apparently Yankees love Andy as much as we do. This lovely sketch showed up
in one of the New England graphics mags that I belong to.
The artist isn't looking for the credit I guess.....

Subject: Barney Talents, the whole list, part 1
Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2004 14:38:36 -0500

Well, we came up with quite an impressive list. I put them in categories,
and added a few while typing up. Most of these areas, Barney proclaimed
himself to be an expert, but we added a few more, just based on our
observations of our favorite Deputy. What to do with this list? I'm gonna
print it out and check them off when I see Barney display them, and possibly

TAGS fans,

Was watching a DVD of the Dick Van Dyke Show that had
a segment from some special in the 1960s called "A Day
in the Life of Sheldon Leonard". There was a brief
clip of he and Andy looking over some footage and
discussing cutting a scene. The scene we can see (but
not hear) has Opie looking on while Andy shaves.
Anyone remember what episode that would have been in?

Sam
