I just watched a pitiful episode of Gomer where he went on vacation back
to Mayberry but Goober, Andy, Aunt Bee and Opie were out of town. They
were returning in a big station wagon just as Gomer's bus was pulling
away. Made me real sad. Saw another one recently where Gomer was singing
in a talent show and the tune reminded me of the Aladdin cartoon put out
by Disney. Wonder what that was?

The St. Petersburg Times ran a great article about Manteo in the Travel
sectione yesterday....3-14-04. For those who want to read it - and yes they
do mention Mayberry and Andy Griffith - here's the link -
http://www.sptimes.com/2004/03/14/Travel/The_Hidden_Colony.shtml There's
an "If you go" section for information for visitors.

>Barney chalks the car tires to show that the car was there at the time he
>passed by,

Someone didn't know about chalking tires? I missed that posting......When I
worked downtown St. Petersburg I had to laugh every time I saw a "chalker".
I always watched to see if someone would grab the chalk marker from under a
car. So if you visit St. Petersburg, bring plenty of quarters and don't
plan to hang in any one place more than 2 hours or you might get chalked and
have to go to the lock-up.................HUUUUUUSH!

Hi everyone,

I was watching A&E last night...they had a few hours
of TAGS biographies...starting with Andy and then
Barney. It was neat seeing those shows again.

I was wondering when are they going to release season
one, two etc on DVD? They just released Three's
Company season one on DVD. Does anyone know if this
is in the works for our pals in Mayberry?

Best and blessings,

Richard.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a request.
A man in my congregation is in a barbershoppers show
next month and is supposed to be costumed as ole Goob!
I told him I'd check with my fellow TAGS rerun watchers
and ask if anyone knows where we might be able to
locate a Goober beanie. Any ideas? Thanks!

How about when Andy tricked Barney with the nickel that had the buffalo facing
the wrong way...............it was when Barn was looking for investments and
Ange was trying to show him how "nave" he was about such things.

*** FROM THE DESK OF PRESIDING GOOBER JIM CLARK ***

Just a reminder for WBMUTBB readers: The TV Land Awards, which air at 9 p.m.
ET/PT this Wed., March 17, are something TAGS fans will definitely want to
tune in for. The show will feature the largest gathering of TAGS cast and
crew members with Andy Griffith since "Return to Mayberry." It will also be
worthwhile to watch the Red Carpet procession online at www.tvland.com
beginning at
8:30 ET/PT. If you sign up for TV Land's "Online Companion," you can even
snap
your own photos of the Red Carpet with you computer. So you can see Andy
Griffith or maybe even Harvey Bullock walking down the Red Carpet and make a
still
of it with your computer. It's a technology that TV Land created for this
year's awards show, and it should be pretty neat. But you need to sign up for
the
Online Companion in advance. It's a big night for Mayberry that every TAGS fan
will enjoy.

On the show Opie had lots of friends does anybody know where any of them are
now? If so I would like to know. I would also like to know which of the
cast are still living and who is dead? This is my 1st letter to this list,
so I may be a little out of touch with some things that could have already
been discussed. Please help if you can, I really am a big fan of the show
as I grew up on it and am raising my daughter on it to.
