I am at a total loss about the episode with Gomer returning to Mayberry for a
vacation and everyone is returning in a station wagon as Gomer's bus is
leaving. Is this for REAL or is this another of Andy's practical jokes?
Thanks,
Ken

Had to come back again. Just wondering again if the episode referred to with
Gomer singing in a contest with a song resembling one from Aladdin. Does
this episode exist? Gomer sang in the choir once but I don't recall anything
that resembled something from Aladdin.
Have I missed something here too?
Thanks,
Ken

It was nice hearing from Harvey Bullock on a recent edition of the WBMUTBB
Digest. I was still in the womb when his last script for TAGS originally aired,
'The Legend of Barney Fife' in January 1966.
I think it would be great if Malcolm Merriweather (Bernard Fox) could finally
make it to Gettysburg. It would a great TAGS event. Picture Malcolm on his
bike atop Devil's Den. Picture Malcolm crashing into a motorist on Little Round
Top. That's exactly what this little girl did to the driver's side door of our
car a couple years ago. When we were cruising on Little Round Top, she
appeared out of nowhere from over a bank and broadsided the door. She was
shaken but
not hurt.

Well, if you want to get technical, maybe it did rain more than I remember.
I'm not a very well trained observer. But history; now THAT'S my subject. I
know all about the Preamble to the Constitution and the Emancipation
Proclamation.

Try heading to the Mayberry.com web site (http://mayberry.com/ ) and
then go to the "Cast Birthdays" link.
http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/anewsome/private/birthdays.htm

That database shows you birthdays and if they have passed it lists the
"Deceased" date. It's kind'a morbid so I don't talk much about that
second feature of the Birthday list. Use the form to search our
database of Cast and Crew members from The Andy Griffith Show. To see
the entire listing, just click "Search" without entering any data in the
"Search For" box.

Hi All-

I noticed the other day that in the Gold episode, when Barney puts on a
suit and raincoat, that his coat is wet after he leaves the hotel. But it
hasn't rained yet because the streets appear dry.

As anyone else noticed this too?

I am also looking forward to the TV Land award show tomorrow night!

All the best,
Silvia

>>> ... Saw another one recently where Gomer was singing in a talent show
and the tune reminded me of the Aladdin cartoon put out by Disney. Wonder
what that was? Aunt Bee of Orlando

Do you mean the episode where Carol Burnett keeps telling Carter that she
needs Gomer for rehearsal? If so, the song you're thinking of is from the
Leoncavallo opera "Pagliacci" (1892). The tune sounds something like the
opening "Arabian Nights" song from Aladdin. As far as the opera itself, I
think I like the Homer and Jethro version better.

Hello, Russell In Newport here. I was watching The Case of the Punch in
the Nose episode of TAGS earlier tonight on TvLand and once again I noticed
something. AT the end of the episode where Barney pulls up in the squad car
with
the siren blaring after going to get Goober. There is a startled looking man in
a barber's outfit standing outside the barber shop with an equally startled
customer. Has anyone ever noticed this before? Thanks.
