 Hey Ya'll
I'd like to suggest a line from "Man in a hurry" for a sermon topic .
That would be , I think , episode # 77 . The line is one of my favorites
delivered
by Don Knotts . He is trying to convince Gomer to crawl under the
deteriorated
bandstand to make repairs . Gomer isn't too keen on the idea of going under
there and incountering possible "creepy things" Barney orders him ,
"Gomer , get down there with them spiders and get to work !"
I always crack up at both that line and at watching Barney as he turns his
back to the camera and struts away . Barney has just previously declared
to Gomer that there were no spiders under the bandstand !
Boy , this list could be endless , "Big , Really Big!"

I guess I missplaced my "thinking bucket !" I realize I sent the wrong
title and episode # for the bandstand scene . "What A Dumb Thang"
That should have read, The Sermon For Today , # 100 . "I'm just as sorry
as I can be."

TVLand has andy's Fishing Hole game. Fish with just Andy or choose the
2 player mode to fish with Opie, too.
http://www.tvland.com/awards2004/evergreen/index.jhtml is the link. I hope.

Hi All,
I hope you had a fantastic Easter. I am always touched by the things
especially kindnesses that happen on TAGS. Here is a favorite: In Opie the
Birdman When Opie says I hope I did all the right things , I hope you can fly.
This is what I said to my daughter when she graduated. We were all in tears.
Also one that comes to mind was when Opie said to Pa that the family had
bills, when he got the grocery store job.But I could go on forever especially
when it comes to Andy & Opie.

OPIE: Pa are you sure you didn't feel anything, and you laughed.

I got my tickets for Mayberry in the Midwest this morning!!! I am really
looking forward to attending again this year because it is so much fun. I am
especially looking forward to seeing Allan, David, Phil and all of the other
"tribute stars", they add so much to these events for me. I am so excited
about getting to meet Keith Thibodeaux, Arlene Golonka, Ronnie Schell, and
Barbara Stuart this year because I have never had the privilege to meet them
before. Along with all of the other stars from TAGS that are scheduled to be
there this year, it promises to be a wonderful weekend as always. If some of
you are trying to make up your mind about going to Mayberry in the Midwest, let
me encourage you to do so. I promise you that it will be a weekend that you
will remember for a long time to come.

Jeff, I sure did hate to read that you aren't going to be able to be there, it
was great to meet you last year and put a face with a name. You can count on
me having lots of fun for both you and I in the lovely town of New Castle. I
totally agree with you that New Castle is a beautiful town that is filled with
folks who do a wonderful job of making all of us feel at home and yet it still
retains that "Mayberry" feeling.

..........This is BIG....I mean REALLY BIG!!!!....................

Does anyone remember a B/W episode with a scene showing Barney and Thelma Lou
talking where she is repeating what Barney says? Barney is trying to be "swave
and worldly" and Thelma Lou is just being coy. Any thoughts on what show might
be and what they are discussing? I'm helping out a friend and just drew a
blank, so I thought I would consult the experts on the Digest. There are a
number of Barney/Andy repeating dialog, but this is supposedly a Barney/Thelma
Lou scene.

Thanks,

Jeff

Oop's! I made a typo error on the "Mayberry in the Midwest" website when I
sent out information earlier. The website is www.mayberryinthemidwest.com I
put a comma in front of the com. Please acccept my apologies. I hope I
didn't create too much confusion for anyone. By the way we have sold about
1/3 of our tickets for both Friday and Saturday's events, so you still have
time to decide and join us. Last year we sold out out of all tickets within 3
weeks, so don't wait too long! Thanks, and hope to see you all at Squad Car
Nationals, the Mayberry Reunion in Nashville and at Mayberry in the Midwest
III.
I would also like to thank Mr. Jeff Koontz for his kind words concerning
our event. It deeply appreciated especially coming from someone who is a big
part of putting on the "event of all Mayberry events" - Mayberry Days. Thanks
Jeff.

Thanks to all the folks who responded so quickly to my request for
spiritual "sayings" from Mayberry. When I get the series of messages
written, I'll post the titles and short synopses.

"Yeah, boy!"
