I was watching the Green Acres 48 hour marathon on TV Land Sunday Night, I
was noticing that the lake Mr. Douglas went to looked a whole lot like
Myeres Lake and the more I looked I realized it was. Did anyone else notice
or watch this episode? I also want to know if Drucilla's Pond on The
Walton's was also Meyers Lake? If that's so alot of shows actually do tie
in to Mayberry.

Hi,
I am selling my Columbia House TAGS on VHS. I have 10 tapes containing 4
episodes each. They are in good condition. I thought I'd check here before
putting them on eBay.
If anyone is interested or wants more info, email me privately.
Over and out,
Jason

Subject: Mt. Airy
Do we have any members who actually live in Mt. Airy? If not, who is up for
moving there? I am! I'm sure I can find plenty of work closing real estate
deals and umpiring ballgames. (I'm not much of salesman, so the aluminum siding
thing is out!!!) Perhaps we could all move there and really turn Mt. Airy into
Mayberry!
Who else is up for moving there and recreating Mayberry? What would you like to
do when you get there?

Did I miss something? That link just looks like a repost of the October
unveiling story from 2003. The only news I've heard recently was that
the plaque on the statue was stolen. I have been on vacation for a
couple of weeks and not keepin' up real good on my WBMUTBB digestin' so
maybe you folks already talked about it. I was in Myrtle Beach (the
OTHER Carolina) and the story was on the news and in the paper that
somebody carefully took the inscribed plaque from the Andy and Opie
statue and even redid the mulch where it was previously residing
(aren'tcha kind)
This could be BIG, I'm telling you, BIG!

No offense to the NY critic or anyone here, but I rather liked the Dick Van
Dyke reunion show. I think they showed the clips as a way to include the
characters who are no longer with us. I may have done the story a little
different, but to be honest I'd have done the Return to Mayberry movie
differently also. I know, I know, that just frosted you. But I've kinda
played out, in my mind, the way I think events in Mayberry occurred and/or are
occurring.
