TAGS theme at wedding.
Hey Brad "Neil Bentley" Cunningham we kind of had then TAGS theme at our
wedding.
As many of you know my husband and I were married during Mayberry Days in
Mount Airy last year. While viewing the tapes of the wedding, one of them
had us walking to the Mayberry squad car and in the background you could
hear the TAGS theme coming from the Main Oak Emporium.
It sure was a great little added touch to our Mayberry Wedding!
Jennifer....married in Mayberry.

Don't forget the same production teams too...same executive producer (Sheldon
Leonard), same directors. And they were both originally on the same network
(CBS), which would mean even more similarities in style. I agree, "The Dick
Van Dyke Show" will most likely be the model of the TAGS video. I certainly
wouldn't spend time comparing it to "The Waltons," "The Dukes of Hazzard" or
any other hour long show, or straight-episode releases like "M*A*S*H."

I agree with the comment the season 1 of TAGS will cost the same as the Dick
Van Dyke show. I just checked, and Amazon is selling that for $57.39, and
that is with free shipping.
That sounds pretty good.
Blessings,
Joshua

Subject: Mystery Statue disappears, reappears near Andy-Opie Statue in
par k
Date: Fri, 11 Jun 2004 09:04:40 -0400
Raleigh news sources report that the Mystery Barney Fife Statue which
mysteriously appeared earlier in the week, near the vandalized statute of
Andy and Opie, disappeared without explanation. A witness in the park
feeding the pigeons reported that two mechanics came with a filling station
truck, covered the statue with a sheet, loaded in on the truck and took it
away.
Fans have been on edge eve since a plaque at the base of the Griffith statue
was taken and then the fishing poles were stolen, and subsequently returned.
A park official saw the sheet-covered statue being removed and asked an
unidentified passenger in the truck what was going on. A small man with
thick glasses reportedly replied simply...." He needs a haircut... and a
peanut butter and jelly sandwich."
Then, this morning when joggers arrived at the Raleigh park, and the popular
TVLand Statue of Andy and Opie (portrayed by Andy Griffith and Ron Howard)
they noticed that the Barney Fife Statue had been replaced...or one similar
to it. This time the statue was in full Deputy uniform instead of the
hunting jacket and cap.. It is also surrounded by two surveillance cameras
labeled "electronal marvels--high speed reconnaissance."
The new statue also bears a plaque at the base, seemingly burned into wood
that says. "No smoking anywhere near the statue. Obey all rules. Do not
write on the statue or shoot paint balls at it, as it takes lot of work to
wash writing and paint balls off the statue...and the paint balls hurt the
statue"
TVLand officials still claim no knowledge of the peculiar new statue of
Barney Fife.
Don Knotts still could not be reached for comment.
When Andy Griffith was told about the new statue, he reportedly broke out in
a wide grin, but made no comments.

Since we have had a few discussions on Twilight Zone, does anyone know
if they are available on DVD? I have not seen them at Wall Mart or K
Mart. Is there perhaps a list of cast people who were in TAGS and The
Twilight Zone?
Thanks, Jim

Charlie Varney and all you other Color episode scorners rejoice. June 18
TVland starts airing season 1 in order...beginning with episode #2 . Don't
know why they skip Episode #1 and also episode #11 but hey it's season
1..hickish accents and all. Jim Lindsay, Miss RoseMarie, Hilda Mae, Ellie
(not the dog). Ed Sawyer, and the Wakefield's and Carters...they're all
coming your way.

Hi Allan: Thanks so much for creating the Mayberry Singles Forum. I am 50 and
live in a small town in Ohio. It's hard to meet singles as I don't do the bar
scene. I love chatting Mayberry with everyone and my perfect love would have
to love Mayberry as much as I do. So I look forward to meeting lots of new
friends of both sexes in the forum but hey if Mr. Right comes along in this
world of Mr. Maybe's then who am I to argue with Mother Nature. Skippy8853,

>Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, September 25th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Would that be the dinner at 6 with Goober? 7 with Howard and Mrs. Sprague or
at 8 with Helen and Uncle Whatsit?
One serving for me, please.....got any TATERS, MEAT or BREAD???? Pearly
onions would be a nice touch since they twang my buds.
Harriet, my chickens are relieved that spaghetti's secret ingredient is
oregano and not poultry pilfered feathers.

This never happened on TAGS. You must be thinking of a character on some

I love Dish Network! Just got the new DVR recorder from Dish, so we can record
Perry Mason & Columbo episodes during work. Was watching the episode "A Stitch
in Crime" (starring Leonard Nimoy as a surgeon) the other day and noticed a
nurse in the hospital who happened to be Helen Crump. she was only on air for
about 30 seconds, said a line or 2 and was actually somewhat nice!

Maybe Don did that on Matlock? It seems to me that he might have done that

Can anyone tell me what the pattern of dishes is that they use in the Taylor

they can be purchased?
