As a matter of fact, in a Shake and Bake commercial that appeared in the very
last episode, Aunt Bee told Opie, "Why land sakes! I haven't fried chicken
in a month of Sundays!"

I know what you mean, pb. I was watching one of the first episodes this
week where Andy was telling Opie his famous monologue on Romeo and
Juliet. He sounded almost like he did in No Time For Sergeants. It's
such a difference after watching the later shows.

A "language" not spoken but referred to: When Andy expected to be offered
a job WAY down south, one of the reasons Barney didn't think he should take
it was because "you don't speak a word of South American."

Yep, and the town came out $20 to the good!

Marie you sure were right about Ellie Walker.

She could have given Emma Brand her pills if she would have called Doc
Andrews for a RX ok.
Poor Emma got a stomach ache from all that food she ate. The Poor dear.

I won't be able to make Mayberry in the Midwest... but I do have a "Mayberry
Story" I was in the grocery store I was absentmindedly whistling the theme
to TAGS. I was a woman standing near me smiling as she said ..."we may not
get a Bite all DAY"

I hope that wasn't too dumb of a story...

Everyone have a safe and glorious 4th of July weekend

ps.. does anyone have Mr. Knotts address so we may send him birthday

Thanks to all who caught my error or this. I guess I didn't watch the
epilog close enough. I though it was an ironic offer, but it does make
sense that they took it back.

It is nice that Tvland went back to Season One and is only skipping a few
episodes, but don't get to attached to that routine. They tend to skip
around (in blocks of shows). Perhaps this time will be different???

All this talk of Cheerwine has me hankering for a taste! When someone
mentioned hot dogs and slaw, I remembered the cafeteria staff at my high
school outside of Memphis dressed ours with coleslaw and at first it
seemed odd but I grew to like it. How about you all?

Hey folks,

It was great seeing everyone in Nashville last weekend. I hope everyone had
a good time. I know I did. Seeing all of the Mayberry Stars along with old
TAGSRWC buddies and making some new ones just made my weekend in Music City
extra special.

I'm posting to let you know that I have updated my Mayberry Emporium website
with some new items.

 _www.mayberry-emporium.com_ (http://www.mayberry-emporium.com)

A new photo album with a few "behind the scenes" photos of the Nashville
Reunion has been added along with some great new items including rare and SUPER

RARE signatures of some of our favorite Mayberry citizens like, Francis
Bavier, Robert Emhardt and yes, HOWARD McNEAR!!!

There is a great CD with an interview done with Andy in 1978. Another CD
that contains synopses of all 249 episodes along with a bunch or hi-res color
photos is also available. There is a 1947 University of North Carolina Yearbook

from Andy's Senior year. We also added a complete Press Kit from the TVLand
Statue Dedication Ceremony. Several other neat signed items are now available.

We have a couple of neat and exciting items on the drawing board. Everyone
keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well so we can offer these new
items.

Don't forget that several "freebies" are hidden all over the site. Be sure
to look at everything to find these hidden treasures.

As always, you first stop for your Mayberry items should be Weaver's
Department Store. By supporting Weaver's you make a lot of great things
possible for
all of us fans like the Nashville Reunion Show. Then if you are still
looking for a little something extra, come by and see us at the Mayberry
Emporium.

Hope to see you all in New Castle in a couple of weeks. Curt Bell tells me
there are a few tickets left. Do yourself a favor and attend this 3rd
installment of this great show!!

Lots of luck to you and yers,

Gary
