SOME GREAT ANSWERS ON THE FEWEST NUMBER OF SCENE CHANGES PER EPISODE...!!
Prisoner of Love is a good one (Andy in the courthouse, w/Barney and the
Prisoner, Andy on his porch and his living room too.. hmmm...) also, The
Christmas episode was mentioned..that's all in the courthouse but has a few
outside scenes, Ben on the street, Ben in the alley.. hmmmm... makes you
think.. where's my bucket! Now to start seriously pinning these down to the
ONE episode with the fewest changes..thanks folks for a couple of great
answers!

Saw a Green Acres episode last night that our dear Hal Smith appears in.

Ironically enough, he wanted to see a lawyer, (but it wasn't Neil Bentley).
He came to see Mr. Douglas. Oliver thought he wanted to hire him as a
lawyer, but actually he wanted to sell him advertising....then after a
series of accidents, he wanted to sue Oliver and Ralph (which of course is
TAGS' own Mary Grace). Good to see ole Otis. He was in a nice dark suit,
and had a hat that got burned on Lisa Douglas's stove.

If we were doing a present-day reunion, in one of my Fan Fiction stories I
thought it would be cool if Leon was now the Sheriff, and Andy and Helen
were retired and living up on Myers lake.

I think we've heard just enough about that slaw! (I'm kidding)

Subject: Christmas Story Scene Changes

There were several different scene changes in the Christmas Story. While most
of it did take place in the courthouse, there was the scene out in the street
when old Ben stole the bench. Then there was a scene behind the courthouse
when Andy went out and caught Ben peeking into the window. But the Christmas
Story is a very good answer and would definitely ring the bell on Family Feud.

Ah, I remember my days in Myrtle Beach 1972-1975 stationed at the Air Force
Base. King's Highway and Ocean Blvd. weren't as crowded. And there used to be
a corner grill by the name of Sloppy Joe's, right slap in the same location as
where I think Ripley's Museum now sits. They had the best dogs in Myrtle
Beach, in fact the best anything in Myrtle Beach. Days gone by. I'm getting
misty-eyed now. **Barn

I wasn't going to brag on the Dee-Troit Hot Dogs, but the absolute best
are available in downtown Dee-troit at either the Lafayette or the
American Coney Island restaurants. Located right next door to each
other, I think the same family owns them but they are still in
competition for customers. An absolute must stop after a Red Wing hockey
game, Tiger baseball match or now Lions Football game.

There's a place in my hometown of Weston, WV that makes the best hot dogs on
the planet! T&L Hotdogs, by name. (The fellow that started it used to be my
teachers at Weston Junior High School back in the ... well, several years
ago.) They have a secret sauce to put on the dogs that I can't describe that's
out of this world. I haven't been to T&L in a long time, but I think they're
still one on West Second Street. T&L used to be a small and growing chain of
hot dog restaurants, but I think the economy kinda nipped that in the bud.

Hal Smith was on Green Acres last night soliciting Oliver Douglas for an ad
in the Chamber of Commerce listings. Things got out of hand and Hal ended
up on the floor. Said he was gonna sue! I guess he was going to use Neil
Bentley over in Mt. Pilot. I saw the whole thing and this time, he didn't
trip over his coat.

Since there were several physical bits involved, I noticed they used a
double more than once. I can't remember many bits in TAGS where there was
enough physical action to warrant a double. I remember they doubled Floyd
driving during to his stroke and Aunt Bee pushing a car. All the physical
bits that would required a double were done off camera. You'd either hear
it (Otis falling) or "see" it by following another character's response.

Hey Everybody,

I love Mr. Sasser's idea of a new series called Mayberry!!! I would love to see
Ange on the front porch playing his guitar. I would love the idea of a scene
showing Barney and Thelma Lou sitting on the couch eating cashew fudge and
Barney still telling her she is the CATS. Andy and the town folk reading Opie's
paper. It would be nice seeing Goober and Gomer still at their gas station.
Ellie running the drug store would be great and Andy and Ellie and Barney and
Thelma Lou double dating. All of this would be nice, real nice!!!

Have a Great Mayberry Day!!!

Hello All,
I am just wondering if anyone knows whether or not there is sheet music
available for some of the music of Mayberry. I am interested in Look Down That
Lonesome Road and maybe There is a Time. It would be nice to have these songs
because they would make a nice addition to my ladies musicale performace.
Thanks to anyone who knows the answer,

I just watched the episode "Barney's Physical," and thought it was a cute
inconsistency in Opie's character that for a nickel a pop, he was selling his
friends a peek to watch Barney hanging himself. Contrast that with Opie's
reaction to Barney's lipsticked face in "Up in Barney's Room," when Opie gets
hysterical because he thinks Barney is bleeding.

These Cute Inconsistencies abound in the episodes -- can you think of others?

TBS actually reran that one during a marathon once. Plus, Ron Howard's AA&E
"Biography" segment showed footage from what appeared to be a sponsor
billboard, with Andy and Opie leaning over a giant box of Jell-O as if it were
a thinking wall.

Why, that would be "Cyrano Andy", episode 22 from the very first

Well, we have a new litter of kittens (4). Only one is a male cat and he is
the only one that is black and white. When I first saw him he looks like he
has white socks on his front legs. I just had to name him Gomer, with the
white socks. Only thing is, the socks are porous and the hairs on his leg
stick out. Do you think anyone will notice? Have a great day all. Just

There's this great hot dog joint over in Greensboro. When you go in, you
better be ready to order or, look out! The best thing to order is the cheese
dog. When new visitors to the place order that, they get a bun with cheese in
it! No hot dog! It's always so much fun to have someone ask about why there's
no hot dog. The guy behind the counter always says in this great NC accent,
"Well, yuh gotta ask for the weeneh!"
My favorite sodas were the old Blenheim County sodas, before they were taken
over by the South of the Border bunch. They came in little glass bottles,
with no labels on them. They had more flavors than you could shake a stick at.

They looked just like what Wally used to have over at the fillin' station. I
used to buy them by the case at the Belks in Greenville, NC. My brother and I
would pop open some and watch a little TV.

Mr. Weaver....err...I mean Paul has a point there...remember to keep the
conversation moving toward the Mayberry connection. This IS after all a
Mayberry
list so we need to stay close to the topic of Mayberry.

The Cheerwine talk has been good but we might want to move a little more back
toward Mayberry....Of course Cheerwine IS servered at the Mayberry Days golf
tourny EVERY year there in Mt. Airy, NC.

Wouldn't it be great if "The Andy Griffith Show" DVD releases included ALL of
the filmed commercials (well, at least those in TAGS character) as a bonus
feature on their menus? If, like "Mr. McBeeVee," they happened to relate to the
storyline, the spot could be integrated into the show itself or as a tag for
the epilogue.

Shazam! Pretty nifty idea, huh?
