Last night on TVLand, they showed 2 episodes of TAGS, both in which Andy wore a
tie with his uniform for at least part of the show. Are there any other
episodes where he wore a tie (outside of church)?

Hey, Y'all,
I got something that's been preyin' on my mind, and I hope someone out there
can answer it. I've often noticed that Elinor Donahue's name is on the
opening credits in the first few episodes, and then it's gone, but she's still
Miss Ellie on the show. Then all of a sudden Miss Ellie's character is gone.
Does anyone know why Elinor left the show?'
Thanks, and have a great holiday weekend.

Subject: TV Land "Top Ten" poll
Date: Sat, 3 Jul 2004 09:27:43 -0500
I'm sure that everyone here knows about the TV Land "Top Ten" poll for The
Andy Griffith Show. I think it would be great if we could all go and vote
for #192 The Lodge via the write in vote. One of the reasons is that I
think this is one of the best color episodes and it features Howard Sprague.
I think that it's appropriate to include Jack Dodson in the "Top Ten" since
he was a very important addition to the show after Don Knotts left.

Well, to muddy the waters further, the other night during the episode "Andy
and Opie, Housekeepers," she's referred to as "Miz Edwards" by Andy and later,
"Bertha" by Aunt Bee. BTW, that ep is also another contender in the "least
scene changes" sweepstakes...entire ep takes place at the Taylor home, closest
to a scene change is when we see Aunt Bee coming out and getting out of the
squad car.

LOL...very funny. BTW I should point out that a few TAGS actors have crossed
paths with the Addamses, and Mayor Stoner (Parley Baer) appeared more than
once.

Clara did not appear until season 2. Both Bertha appearances were Season

Lets see how many characters appeared one time (or perhaps two) as a guest
star and then reappeared as a regular or repeated performances...perhaps
with a different name

Ed Jenkins/ Howard
George/ Ernest T Bass (that's a stretch I know)

Daphne/ Naomi in reverse
Various inc. Mrs. Lukens/Martha Clark
Emma Brand/ Emma Watson
Harlan Fergus/Mr.. Meldrum
Ben Sewell/Rafe Hollister
Face in the crowd/ Mr. Schwamp
Ok you know I had to get Schwamp in there
The Untrained Voice
Sgt at Arms Schwamp Fan Club nd Hair Loss Support group
Unofficial spokesman for all who never talk..Mr. Schwamp, Leon, Bert, Al,
the Milo boys etc.

>>>Having done my own genealogical research I find it difficult to believe
that Nathan Tibbs would only have one ancestor living. This was what almost
200 years later?
It certainly seems like he should have had dozesn, even hundreds, of
descendants, but it's not impossible. What's even more confusing is how the
genealogists could have known that Tibbs HAD a living ancestor, without
first knowing WHO the ancestor was. What chain of events could have led
them to such a conclusion? Genealogists always start with the known
present, and work backwards into the unknown past; it's simply impossible to
do it in reverse (unless someone else can offer a logical explanation).

I'm not rightly sure, but I believe she was first Bertha Johnson, then
Clara Johnson, then Clara Edwards, or something like that. If I'm not
mistaken, she evolved somehow.

Subject: MAYBERRY IN THE MIDWEST 3 TICKETS FOR SALE
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I bought tickets to both the Mayberry in the Midwest 3 Friday night
dinner and Sat. night show in New Castle, Indiana for this upcoming
weekend July 9-10, and now I cannot attend. I would like to sell these
and place them in a good home. The original cost of the dinner is $20
and the show is $30. I'll sell the dinner show ticket for $15 and the
show ticket for $25.
This is a great opportunity to buy these at a discount for those of you
who haven't bought your tickets yet for a great Mayberry event. I went
last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Please e-mail me privately at
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" or "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" if you would like to
purchase my tickets.
Thanks and 10-4.
