I know that this is the story that has been circulating for some time now, but has anyone ever wondered how a suit owned by someone that was well under 6 feet tall (Parley Baer described him as a "small pixie of a man") could have given a suit to someone well over 6 feet tall and it would still fit? I wonder if this is one of those stories that has grown like in THOSE GOSSIPIN' MEN. I have a photo of Parley Bear and Howard McNear standing next to each other and Parley is considerably taller. I am 6 feet tall and I met Parley Baer in person about 10 years ago and I was taller than him. A guess-timate would place Howard McNear at about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
