Hi,
I wonder - there is a website that has lots of info on this, and there is a 
still shot 
from "Goober's Contest," in which Aunt Bee and Opie are shown in Aunt Bee's 
car, sitting 
in the line at Goober's station.  In the background are visible the guard house 
by the fence (it was also 
in the scene where Opie and his friends were practicing football, in "Opie's 
Piano Lesson.") and part of 
one of the Quonset huts!  The website has an aerial map of the area, showing 
that the 
barrack part of the U.S.M.C. set was right across the road from Goob's station. 
 Cousin 
Goob didn't have to go that far to visit with Cousin Gome!  haha ;-)
