I'm reminded of a story J.R.R. Tolkien once related about how, during his
childhood, he was writing a story, and his mother told him it was acceptable to
say "a great green dragon" but it was incorrect to say "a green great dragon."
This has nothing to do with Mayberry, but what reminded me was the numerous
times over the last few weeks that people here have referred to Mayor Pike as
"our fat little mayor." The correct quote (from Mayberry Goes Hollywood) is
"our little fat mayor."
