When Opie joins Clifford's band,they are heard just playing instrumental,no
singing.At a school dance,no singing,
just instrumental.Andy & Barney's high school reunion,no singing,just
instrumental.
I've heard RodneyDillard say that as a Darling,they would have had to have been
paid extra had they had a
speaking part.Makes me wonder if this applies to the situations aforementioned.
I realize there were numerous songs that were recorded as purely
instrumental,but there were tons of songs
that included singing back in the 60's.Curious.

The military salute is a motion that evolved from medieval times,when knights
in armor raised their visor to
reveal their identity.....Now pause for a moment and picture Barney raising his
armor visor.Can't 'ya just
picture him looking like a deer caught in headlights?Anyway,it would have been
difficult for Barney to do the dip.
