I had the same question when I was building the Taylor Home Inn B&B. If you watch the color episodes, you?ll see that the kitchen door is in the proper place, leading out to the back yard. In the black and white episodes, it actually leads where the driveway should be on the side of the house. It? is an unexplained inaccuracy on ?the show. One of several. A few years ago I used the b&w episodes as a guide and drew a floor plan of the Taylor house and found that the back door had to lead to the driveway! Those narrow high windows on the right side of the front porch are in the kitchen over and behind the stove!
