Is 'rasterise' the same as 'render'? Joseph

Casey - I looked to see if somebody replied to this, but didn't see it. So I apologize for the duplicate if that is the case. I believe what you are talking about is the "bounding box" - the tiny dotted lines that are around anything you select with the move tool. When you are getting the error message that "this layer is not directly editable" when you try to erase it, that is because you are probably on the layer below it, either a locked layer or the original background layer. To get rid of it, you will need to have the "Move Tool" selected (the arrow), then click on "Show Bounding Box" at the top. If you do not see this, go to Window and make sure that "Options" is selected. Then just uncheck the box. There are times when it is useful to have the bounding box showing, but certainly more times than not when it is a pain in the a**. When you do go back to edit this line, make sure that you highlight that layer to edit. I find that when working with the line tool that it isn't easily "selectable" by clicking on it, and usually selects instead the locked background behind it. Also, the type of line that you use (shape layer, path, fill pixels) determines the ease at which you can edit it. Sorry if this is way off - HTH! Todd ____ .
