Not sure if your question was about MySQL (which you mention in your
post) or MS SQL (as mention in the subject). Both are different
databases.
I'll assume you need help with MySQL. Let me know if this is totally off
mark.
At the hosting server, do you have PHPMYADMIN? If not, you may want to
ask them for it, its quite a handy little web based application to
manage your databases and data.
Otherwise, in a TELNET shell (after you login), just enter the MySQL
commands as you'd enter them in a DOS prompt on your machine. That
should work.
E.g.
mysql -u amrit -p chandigarh punjabdb
Where "amrit" is the username, "chandigarh" is the password and
"punjabdb" is your database.
I wonder if this is what you wanted to know?
