In the UK the Disability Discrimination Act - the last stages of which become law during the next year or so - has been interpreted as requiring that web sites do not discriminate against disabled users - and that means sight, hearing or whatever. So anyone targeting UK users has work to do!

The Act also targets a lot of other areas too - building access and so on. It's going to be expensive to implement - but it's the law.

Why would you want to do that? Resizable fonts are STRONGLY recommended, as
they a improve accessibility. Someone who can't see as well as you can may
not be able to read your site without resizing. In fact, web site
accessibility has been legally mandated for government websites, and may
become mandated for others as well.

Subject: [wdvltalk] Text Size

I've noticed some web sites where the text stays a fixed size, regardless of your browser settings. I tried fixed font sizes but they are still resizable. Obviously I am missing something. What is the best way to maintain the text and prevent it from resizing? TIA
