It was a darker color, and enhanced the content colors. With the orange, it's too bright and I don't like it. The other bg really did a good job of framing the content. What if you did a solid background using the major dark color from your previous bg? Does the client like the orange? What about a dark burnt orange? Or maybe even a russet color? I have to warn you though, my color combinations can be way off kilter. Has anyone else on the list mentioned the orange? It may be just the right color, but when I look at the page, it seems to be too much orange, and hurts my eyes. I just got a new pair of glasses that are anti-reflective for working on the computer for many hours, and the orange is bright wearing them.
