Boy, I really like the #A33547 color much better, but the centered content is still not framed or standing out as it should.
With the centered content darker, a lighter background usually works best. I see the color combo you are going for, and if you got a more subdued yellow-orangy-brown, etc. color it might look good.
I did play around with other background colors: #FFFFFF, #FFFF00 - #FFCC66, #CC9900 - to #CC9999, etc.
