One of our Mac only clients had 5 viruses on their G4, so much for non-windows systems being "safer".
I get sent viruses all the time, have done so since the days of Windows 3.1 and have never been infected by a virus. Same with many people on this list. While less common there are viruses out there for Macs (both OS 9 and OS X) as well as for Linux based computers. The bigger the target (more seats using the OS) the more numerous the viruses. So let's not get into OS bashing, talk about a counter productive waste of time. Cheryl D. How long until you become victim of a 0-day virus? It's only a matter of time. Antivirus and Windows Update patches won't help you then. Only using a non-Windows operating system would do. ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Send Your Posts To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To set a personal password send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the words: "set WDVLTALK pw=yourpassword" in the body of the email.
