In your .css file you could set the "menu" and "maintext" classes to the
same width:

I do agree with Will regarding this issue; it will be easier to read with
the narrower text box.  Another thing you could try is the line-height
attribute on the "maintext" class.  I find that setting this a bit higher
than the default value increases legibility.
