Thanks, Stephen;

I must admit I am glad that i switched, though I still can't figure out how the ctrl-c and ctrl-v equivalents, etc. etc. I also still miss the delete key, since the apple delete seems to equate to the DOS/Windows backspace. My XP emulation software was out of stock, and won't be here until tomorrow. I'll be productive again in a few days....

Thanks for the editor suggestions. I don't understand the SFTP reference, though. On windows, I use CuteFTP Pro as my FTP client. Does apple have something built in for FTP, or does skEdit have SFTP built in?

Kind regards

I use skEdit (http://www.skti.org/skEdit.php) for PHP and HTML as well
as an all around editor when I need to make quick changes to a file,
directly on the server (I'm looking at you, .htaccess). The only
"limitation" I've bumped into with it is that it's currently SFTP only
(If you'd consider that a limitation).

I tend to use TextMate (http://macromates.com/) for my general purpose
text editor for local documents as well as exclusively for my forrays
into Ruby on Rails, as it has excellent support for Ruby syntax...
damned pretty application, lots of very advanced features and as
stable as the day is long.

For everything else, I use TextWrangler
(http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/index.shtml). This is
Bare Bones Software's (makers of BBEdit, which doubtless someone will
mention as the "Cadillac of mac editors", to which I would reply
"hooey!") free offering. FTP/SFTP light footprint. good editor, but
no code completion...

All of the afforementioned editors have project and ad-hoc project support.

Finally... Welcome. It's nice over here ;)
