Replace ctrl key with the apple key and that will usually do it. I run both platforms for testing sites but prefer Windows. Others prefer Macs and some people even like a flavor of Unix, some thing called a Linux Distros which apparently come in sub flavors like RedHat, Suse, Openwall, Slackware, Debian, and one of my favorite names Yellow Dog. On the whole we are a pretty open minded bunch, at least when it comes to operating systems.
I didn't think CuteFTP worked on Macs. skEdit is okay and I don't think it is currently loaded on my PowerBook to check whether it supports secure ftp or not. Text wrangler is a good program, so I agree with Stephen about it. Which reminds me I need to see if BB Edit is on the Dreamweaver MX 2004 Academic disk I use on my Mac. I have enough non profit clients to qualify for that version and my production machine is my Windows tablet so my commercial work is all done there. Cheryl D. It's nice over here ;) I must admit I am glad that i switched, though I still can't figure out how the ctrl-c and ctrl-v equivalents, etc. etc. I also still miss the delete key, since the apple delete seems to equate to the DOS/Windows backspace. My XP emulation software was out of stock, and won't be here until tomorrow. Thanks for the editor suggestions. I don't understand the SFTP reference, though. On windows, I use CuteFTP Pro as my FTP client. Does apple have something built in for FTP, or does skEdit have SFTP built in? ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: [email protected] To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
