Thanks so much, Cheryl. I wasn't sure where to look next; I thought that
there must be a CSS list but listserv didn't seem to carry it. I will
definitely check out css-d (and subscribe!), especially since I have
resolved to, wherever possible, adopt a CSS approach to techniques that I
used to accomplish with scripting. This is just so bloody frustrating, since
as far as I can tell I have duplicated Eric's requirements.
BTW, are you observing the same thing--Firefox works on that test page but
IE doesn't?
Cheers,
Scott
.

Scott,
While it may seem like I know a lot about CSS compared to the people
on the
css-d list I'm a piker. When it comes to the browser bugs I'm not that
strong.
I'd suggest posting the issue over to that list and if there is
someone who
can fix it they will tell you what the issue is.
