Stones are a UK measure and were never used in the US as far as I'm aware.
Kilos are a French invention. (Napoleon)

Why not just say 1/14th stone <grin>? Or if converting, why not convert to
something reasonable like Kilos?

We in the US should know all about holding onto archaic measurements.

What's the history/context here? If 'stone' is the what someone is used to
using, then that's what they will use. Or maybe they used it in protest of,
or to call attention to the silliness of maintaining US measurements?
