Hi Deb,
It being Sunday I might be your best bet...
My Dell with Xp Home came with wretched McAfee, which I have
never got on with [nor.... but i won't bore you ;-)]. As I
recall I disabled McAfee [with its 'six month free - a lifetime
of cost'], and left it sitting in the machine gnashing its teeth.
On the other hand I am not sure why you can't use the uninstall
wizard, it should take out all that important stuff - leaving
just enough in the registry to keep nagging ;-). The wizard
should uninstall itself after its done the Macbeth bit!
And I think I installed both Zone Alarm and AVG before I even
disabled McA, switching it off every time it raised its big
business deal head.
HTH

Hi,
I got a new puter and GRRRRRRRRR it came installed w/McAfee
Suite something or other. I want McAfee GONE but there is no
uninstall to be found. When I go to the Control Panel I find
the option to uninstall just this: McAfee Uninstall Wizard.
I'm afraid if I uninstall that from the Control Panel that I'll
be stuck w/McAfee ... I can't install my Zone Alarm or my Avast
anti-virus until McAfee is gone. This is a WinXP Media machine.
Anyone have any experience w/this? Your help would be
appreciated.
