I've successfully managed to reformat and reinstall Windows XP which is the original operating system it came with and put back on in the restore process :) It *seems* to be working but until I can install firewall and anti-virus and run it through Housecall or some other virus check it's still a bit iffy. I suppose the drive could be going but not gone yet so we'll see. Thank you all for your help, you save us $$$ at least the way it looks right now. I am getting one error message on boot: Media Check Failure - Check cable All that's plugged into it right now is the power cable. Any ideas what cable it might be talking about? ÷÷÷ ÷÷÷ ÷÷÷÷÷ ÷÷÷ ÷÷÷÷ Deb Designer @ Digital Mouse Designs com ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: wdvltalk@lists.wdvl.com To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
