If it were me, I'd probably just put the values in question in a lookup table with an associated ID and put the ID in the URL. Since the relationship of the ID and value is arbitrary, there's no way to derive the value (without following the link, at which point I'd think it would be apparent, but maybe not). Anyway, HTH!
