I have quite a bit of experience in Internet and Intranet development. On
the sites I've
worked on we distributed airline manuals in PDF format, HTML and
a file download of whatever the original structure was (Word, Wordperfect,
text, etc.).
He could scan the original paper guides, produce them in the multiple
formats and create a HTML based front end for it. Our front end
was dynamic and stored in a database that was user-searchable.
