hi, barry - i posted a 'forward' from NetTrain -- the comments were from
another trainer. the post was in response to the difficulty in finding
whois info at internic since it's been hijacked by networksolutions.
what many folks didn't experience -- but i did -- was getting shuttled to
networksolutions web site and having NO whois. the search feature only
generated name/address contact info -- nothing else! then on monday of this
week, they "fixed" it and added a whois search to their home page.
there has been a lot of 'outrage' about networksolutions hijaking the
internic.net "whois" ... just another source into the database.

actually, your struggle was with Network Solutions <smile> not InterNIC --
as NS is the *monopoly adminstrator* [but not for long]
