Hello,

I recall Ronnie posted a good explanation of .htaccess. I tried to
follow the instructions to allow a user to use .htaccess in his
directory but I get the following error:

Error: HTTPd: syntax error or override violation in access control
file /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/stats/test/.htaccess, reason: Unknown
method ErrorDocument

Here is the contents of my .htaccess file:

ErrorDocument 403 /stats/test/restricted.html
ErrorDocument 404 "Sorry, that file was not found."

the path is correct for restricted.html.

Here is my access.conf file which I think should allow ANYTHING in a
.htaccess:

# This controls which options the .htaccess files in directories can
# override. Can also be "None", or any combination of "Options",
# "FileInfo", "AuthConfig", and "Limit"

AllowOverride All

Any clues anyone?

Thanks,

Peter
