I don't know about gif builder, but ULead's Gif Animator 2 (and a few of the
other gif animation tools I have laying around on my machine) can handle the
job, though not in an automated way. Chances are that each of your 5
animations used different palettes. You will need to juggling the pallettes
when combining the animations, then optimize for small file size. Depending
on the software that created the existing animations, you may find that the
layers of each animation were optimized in such a way that the "redundant"
pixels (pixels that don't change from layer to layer) were removed, which
could make merging the animations a bit more challenging, too (less of a
problem if they all have the same "background" color).

If you want to post them somewhere I'll take a quick look at them and give
you more feedback. In the end, yes, you will be able to do it, but if the
animation sequence is long, with a lot of frames or a lot of color changes,
the file may get so large that you may decide against using it. These things
are all "jugglable", to a certain degree.
