Well, let me tell you my thoughts. We have secure sites (pages) because
people are paranoid about the web. Yes, there have been frauds. However,
I think the chance of fraud is much greater when presenting your credit
card in a store or restaurant. What's to stop someone from swiping it
twice? And what happens to those carbons (assuming some are still used)
that find their way to the garbage only to be picked up by a janitor? If
it's gonna happen.... well, I think that the 'net is the least of the
evils. Secure page? Well, the same problems can happen at the vendor's
end. The only thing you're protected against is the hacking.
