Mmmm.... homesite gives this same error set sometimes ...
technically, <font> can live only inside <p> i believe - at least early on
-- so it's looking for </font> when a graph ends or new one begins. this
leads to the nesting error problem you're seeing.
and i really have seen the same error set on homesite....
