I know, I need a local agent I can trust and am working on
that. However, I've received more info from Vantage and their business
model is clear to me. You trade on their merchant account, pay them 8%
sales commision + 10% guarantee fund reservation + $0.75 per
transaction + $$ monthly + $$ setup. So I don't have to worry anymore
where they get their money from ;-). And, it's a business model I
could duplicate, so I have an extra option.

Just last week, a few thousand Dutch credit cards were raided on the
net. The con men paid themselves through their own website and
disappeared in a maze of shadow companies. Nobody knows where they got
the card numbers and expiry dates from.....
This does pose an interesting challenge to us as
web-consultants. Business is all about trust. How do we enable our
clients to establish trust with their prospects? A web site is bland,
it could have been put up by a respectable company or be a total
scam. Which means brand is all that's left to judge it upon. And where
does that put the myriad of small businesses that don't have the money
to build a large brand?
